At Plushy Steps, we follow the Montessori way — letting children touch, explore and discover at their own pace, guided gently by teachers who notice every small win.
Plushy Steps Montessori School sits on Navy Capt. Ayeni Street in Yenagoa — a calm, secure campus built for little learners who do their best work with their hands, not just their ears.
Our classrooms are arranged the Montessori way: low shelves children can reach, real tools sized for small hands, and teachers trained to observe before they intervene. Children move through lessons at their own pace, building independence, focus, and genuine love for learning long before exams ever matter.
Founder & Proprietor · Certified Montessori Educator
Behind every great school is a passionate educator who refuses to settle for ordinary. Mrs Ugochi Naibokien founded Plushy Steps Montessori School with a single conviction: that every child in Yenagoa deserves a world-class early education rooted in respect, curiosity, and joy.
With over two decades of experience in early childhood education and formal training as a Montessori expert, Mrs Naibokien has shaped the learning journeys of hundreds of children across Bayelsa State. She understands how young minds grow — not just academically, but emotionally and socially — and has built Plushy Steps as a living expression of that knowledge.
Her approach is warm but purposeful: classrooms that feel like home, teachers who listen before they speak, and a curriculum that trusts children to lead their own discovery.
Children move through our programs at their own pace — each stage building on the small wins of the last.
A warm, secure space for the very young to explore textures, sounds and gentle movement.
